Aerodynamically superior, the RF-1000 full-face sport helmet delivers wind tunnel proven high speed performance and ventilation. A perfect fit is achieved through removable and adjustable cheek pads and 3D comfort liner system which doesn’t shift during high speed riding.
Another facet of the legendary Shoei fit is the use of 4 shell sizes, and 5 sizes of EPS liners. The RF-1000 shell is of Shoei’s proprietary AIM + (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus Multi-fiber Technology), which embeds ultra strong organic fibers into fiberglass.The result is a lightweight, yet strong, outer shell that is better able to absorb and disperse the force of an impact.

Pros: Very comfortable helmet with great air flow. the visor is very simple to remove and place back on. In addition the visor has a locking mechanism that will lock the visor down or you can use it to crack the seal and let more air in. The helmet also includes a breath guard that is easy to install and take out that keeps the visor fog free and it includes an under the chin guard that I imagine will help keep your chin warm on those cool days, as it is summer I haven't had a chance to experiment.
Cons: This is more of a double edged sword, the helmet is very tight at the entrance which I really like when the helmet is on but it has a habit of pulling on my industrial piercing when I put it on. I will continue to experiment to find a more comfortable way to put it on.

Additional Sizing Notes: I seem to be a medium in every brand I have tried on except for some of the shark helmets which I am a small in.
