All new for 2006, the Doha (named after the Moto GP track in Qatar) boot is a low cut Sidi engineered boot, not a glorified casual shoe sold to unsuspecting riders as a piece of motorcycle footwear. In creating the Doha, Sidi applied its experience and technology in order to provide street bike riders a motorcycle boot with the protection they deserve in a design that is less flashy than a full race boot.

The Doha utilizes the same insole as the Vertigo boot, a non-slip bonded sole, reinforced heel and toe cups, leather/Cordura upper, ankle ball protection, heel reflective stripe, lace retention strap and a toe shift/brake guard. All these features are combined using Sidi's renowned quality control to provide the market one of the very best low cut street boots on the market today.

Pros: Very comfortable riding shoe that offers a more protection than street shoes or non-riding boots, They look great with that clean Sidi Euro styling. A thin durable sole that makes shifting and feel much better than similar competition with ridiculous chunky bottoms. No probs walking with comfort off the bike.

Cons: Should have a little more ankle protection. A little more coin than the competition but I believe you pay for what you get in riding gear and these are the best 3/4 height riding shoes on the market.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Go out and get a pair if you are on the fence or thinking about a less expensive shoe, Plus u can say you are wearing Sidi's.

 SIDI boots very well made

By Anonymous from Atascadero, Ca.

Pros: very well made, great looking, durable, comfortable, good protection for a street shoe. Stiff sole is great on the bike.

Cons: Sole is rock hard. Great for riding, but if you plan to do a lot of walking during the day they are, again, rock hard.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Comments: These are a well made boot, They have a small bit of airflow, and are very comfortable, and well made. If you want any cushioning for walking at work or around town, you won't find it here. If they... (Read the rest of this review)

Nice looking, decent protection, fairly comfortable

By Michael Stevens from Peoria, AZ

Pros: Boot looks great. I can ride to places and not worry about looking like I just got off the track with calf-high racing boots.

Cons: I expected a little more protection in the ankle area. I figured there'd be some plastic inserts or something but it appears to be just a double layer of material. Better than sneakers but I thought for $160 there'd be more. Also, you'll want a pair of footbed inserts. There is absolutely NO padding at all in the footbed and the insert that comes in the shoe is about 1/16" thick and hard as a rock. Some Dr. Scholl's is a must...

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Comments: Overall, it's a good boot. Looks good, better protection than anything besides full-size riding boots, and with a good set of insoles they are plenty comfortable. Stiff at first but they should... (Read the rest of this review)

By Alex from Arlington, VA

Pros: Nobody really notices when I wear them in the office. They're pretty. They're easy to clean (but NOT waterproof). I can wear them in the office, walking around, out to dinner, etc., for a few hours (even with the smaller size) before I start to get a little sore around my toes. This is overall a win for me. Sidi makes excellent boots, and these are really well made. You can tell just looking at them, the stitching, the material, etc. They're not too hot on hot days, they keep my feet warm on cool days (we're not in the dead of winter yet, but I've had them out at 70mph in 50F weather). I also have my pegs right on top of my exhaust, and they protect me *very* well from the heat, even when I'm flogging and leaning the bike. They are *great* boots.

Cons: They are the absolute minimum you need for ankle protection. They're stiff, but if push came to shove, they'd bend. They're pretty stiff, so for surface street low-side stuff, you'll be fine. Come off the bike at 70, or have the bike hit you, or anything else creative, and these boots aren't going to help you any more than sneakers. If you're looking at Sidi's, you know they make other boots that have much better support. You may want to look there. You may also want to wear a Capilene or other sock (an "inner" sock) or similar, as they're a snug fit (on purpose) and if your feet are rubbing around inside of them, you could blister.

Comments: They're a little spendy compared to the competition, but come on. They're Sidis. These are great boots. For a mid-rise, non staship-troopers boot to wear into the office, you can't beat em. Splurge.
