The Vertigo series of boots are the only boots to offer a patented adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno VR knob, the internal monofilament line will close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit.

Every Vertigo boot's outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material that acts like natural leather skin, but is stronger, softer, lighter and offers better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion yet it still breathes. Lorica doesn't stain and can't be scratched, and it delivers more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

On the inside, each Vertigo boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to "breathe" out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term.

Every Vertigo boot features a snap-lock vent panel, located on the outside of the foot so riders can choose the maximum airflow setting. Riders can send air rushing inside the boot or close the vent to enjoy a sealed, airtight and watertight boot.

The Vertigo's revolutionary three stage, shock absorbing heel cup is molded with three different densities of plastic. This system, another first in motorcycle boot technology, offers a built in shock absorbing range of three millimeters. The heel cups internal area is fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for an extra level of comfort and protection.

The shifter pad on the Vertigo boot is molded of DuPont Techno-polymers, which ensure that the plastics qualities will not change in high or low temperatures. The same pad is used on the right boot, to assist riders who's riding style includes tucking their foot under the brake pedal. A new dual compound, non-slip sole was designed for the Vertigo boots. It delivers maximum comfort and safety.

All bolt on components of the Vertigo boot are available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash. The Vertigo uses bolt on (no Velcro!) replaceable, adjustable and aerodynamic nylon/ceramic skid pads on the toe. The shin deflector plate is the only replaceable deflector plate available in racing today. The Vertigo Corsa (same boot, but with an added strap over the front of the foot) was awarded the Motorcyclist Magazine "Best New Product" Award for 2004!

Pros: Replaceable parts; Adjustable calf fit for thick calves/leathers; Great protection

Cons: None off the top of my head...

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: Tried on Dainese boots as well and these seem just a hair smaller, but pretty much dead on from the size chart.

I unfortunately had opportunity to crash test these in a stupid off (just because you've done a cloverleaf fast before, etc, etc...) and they performed amazingly. I went into a guardrail feet first quite quickly (separated from the bike at ~85mph, hit guardrail 10-15ft later) and then went for a quick tumble. My feet came out a bit bruised and had one minor fracture on one heel that is supposed to be a 3-5 week heal. That's it, despite major road rash on a lot of the plastic bits and enough force in the hit to bruise my knees and back. Every bit on these boots appears to have been tested by this wreck and everything came out impressively well (even-or especially-the odd-looking heel guard). I've cleaned them off and plan on wearing them again when I get back on a bike. If you're on the fence about spending this much on a pair of boots, trust me - they're worth every cent and then some. I had some old A* touring boots and having compared the two, I guarantee I wouldn't be singing the same tune about them had they been on for this one.

By Aaron from San Jose, USA

Pros: Finally replaced my Sidi B2 boots which I had for 7 years and finally wore out with these. Love the ability to adjust the boots to fit around my calf (something that is lacking on the B2). My last boots went through 4 crashes and I never injured my feet/ankles and the Vertigo's look even more crash worthy.

Cons: Arch support is non-existent, but I plan to add some SuperFeet insoles to make up for it.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear 9.5 to 10 depending on manufacturer and these @ 9.5 fit great!

 Great Boots!

By Wallace from Windsor, Ca. \"The Wine Country\"

Pros: I formally owned Alpinestars S-MX PLUS Racing Boots. These were uncomfortable to walk in. Too much Velcro that failed. The Vertigos have a small patch of Velcro. I purchased black but special ordered red heel shock absorbers($25.00) since my VFR is red. I have a small calf and the adjustable calf shaft makes them fit perfectly I am 5, 9" and 165 lbs. Been riding since I was 15 ( now a young 53)

Cons: Non what so ever.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: Boots are stiff, but that is good in case of crash. They will loosen up. Great fit. I have a long narrow foot. I wear size 10 with inserts & purchased 44's.

Comments: Great looking durable boot.

 Amazing!

By Alex from Pisa, Italy

Pros: Amazingly comfortable. I could wear these things casually. Very soft leather and they look sharp.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: Lots of room in the heel. Exchanged for size smaller.

Comments: Kneedraggers.com was very helpful through the whole process of exchanging the boots. And everything was handled very quickly. As far as I'm concerned I won't order from anyone else. It's... (Read the rest of this review)
