Pros: The build quality of this item is great - it's a very compact package, solidly assembled and clearly meant for outdoor/wet applications. The unit is about an inch and a half across, and lightweight. The white LEDs are very similar in color and brightness to a Photon mini-light - not high-output but reasonable.
Cons: My application was to use this item as a plate light (with a fender eliminator) but I wouldn't recommend it - the LEDs just don't provide enough light, and the pattern of dispersal, due to the lensed LEDs, leaves three 'streaks' across the plate. The assembly also has its wiring exit out the back of the item - inconvenient! - so the wires have to be accommodated through a custom-drilled hole in your mounting plate or some other adjustment. Provided mounting hardware is just two small metal screws - you'll probably want to chuck those and use a bolt/nut setup or epoxy to mount it.

bright simple LED ligthing for your license plate

Pros: - 3 bright white LEDs two on side are 45 degree angle and center is straight so the light covers your plate pretty well
- simple 2 wire install
- small size makes it easy to mount anywhere
Cons: - $30 is a little pricey for 3 LEDs but ends up being worth it since it looks nice and installs so easy, also the unit is waterproof/weather proof
Comments: good pick for bright white LEDs and simple mounting install makes this a great unit for license plate lighting solution
