Perfect gear for the Arctic Circle |
By Jack from Cumberland foreside, ME on 09/14/2007
Pros: I bought this suit for a tour of Northern Scandinavia, where I was sure to encounter much rain, and constant temperature variations. The suit kept me warm and dry through 14 hour days of hail, snow, rain and much wind. I felt sorry for my fellow riders - all of whom were frozen and wet.
Cons: The only negative was the difficulty of keeping the zippers from attacking fabric folds. Until you've used the zippers many times they will get stuck on every use. I put the included lubrication on the main zipper every day for a week, just to give it a chance to learn it's function.
Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller
Additional Sizing Notes: When buying this suit, I was a little bit afraid of the Spidi sizing chart. I had never ordered a double XL in anything, but in this suit, I was glad I did. Believe their chart!
Best suit on the market. I was comfortable at all temperatures (20 - 68 degrees), dry after 14 hours of hail and rain, and unfazed by 30 mph winds riding through freezing tundra fields. Any other suit would have been eaten alive by these elements!
