The Competizione S Boots from TCX are able to guarantee users maximum protection and the highest levels of performance. TCX has a history of innovations: the Torsion Control System™ patent, used in racing and off road biking and the Metatarsal Control System®, which has for years been an important reference point in the motorcycle sector.

Torsion Control System®

* The Torsion Control System®has undergone modifications and been perfected, increasing its functionality and safety performance. The system has been noticeably updated and is now made up of 4 combined elements. The main structure has a double heel and a frame that allow lateral and longitudinal movement of the ankle, preventing torsion beyond natural limits and therefore protecting the joints from possible injuries. This main structure is connected to an X-shaped central body sewn to the upper, that connects the upper part to the lower part of the boot and guarantees excellent hold for the leg. The steel slider has been designed to protect the heel and favor the natural sliding motion in the case of a fall.

Technical Details:

* Upper: micro fibre
* Lining: AIR TECH breathable
* Color: Black, White, Blue, Red
* Foot bed: anti bacterial, reinforced in the heel area
* Sole: oil and petrol resistant, 3 colors injected with specific grip area
* Sliders: polyurethane rear and toe sliders
* Protections: polyurethane shin plate, shift pad

Pros: No crash testing yet. They are very comfortable, and have very good support. Look great too

Cons: The calf and ankle areas are very tight for me, especially with the suit legs tucked in.

Sizing Info: Fits 1 size smaller

Additional Sizing Notes: A lot of people list these as true to size, but I found the 12s too tight, and went with the 13s

 great boot overall with just one 'snag'

By Anonymous from Anytown, USA

Pros: Very good protection and quality for the price. Very light. Durable construction. Good support, but still easy to slip on and off.

Cons: When cornering aggressively in the canyons, the ankle support piece on the boot sometimes snags on my rear set's ankle guard. If I am leaned over a fair bit, this can be very unsettling. Ankle "flex" supports squeak a lot, but some teflon spray lube every 10-15 rides elminates the noise.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I tried on the SIDI Vertigo boot and it was way too narrow. I am a size 12 extra wide shoe. Even a 13 in the SIDIs was uncomfortable because it was so narrow. I love how wide the TCXs are. I went with a 12 US/46 Euro TCX boot and it fits perfectly.

Comments: The extra grippy aftermarket rear sets on my bike have worn a hole in the soles of each boot. I love everything about this boot except for the snagging on the ankle guard I mentioned in the cons... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: provides very good ankle protection

Cons: b/c of the ankle protection, your movements are some what restricted compared to boots without the structual support. The restricted movements make these boots an overkill for day to day street use, especially when backing the bike out of park while sitting on the bike. But at the end of the day, these boots are suppose to protect you in a fall and I'd much rather go down with the extra ankle protection on these boots than with boots that only have extra padding around the ankle.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

 Great duel purpose boot

By David from Denver, CO

Pros: A great boot for both street and track. They are easy to get in and out of and are the most comfortable performance boot I've ever worn. The protection is great and reassuring. Breathability is also very good for a non perforated boot. Break in time is not an issue at all. I would also like to mention Kneedraggers quick response in getting me the correct size. Total turn around from the shipment of the wrong size from me to them and the right size from them to me was six days.

Cons: The toe is a scosh stiff and makes for a difficult shift. This, unlike the rest of the boot, takes a while to break in, but it will break in.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a 10 and usually go with 11's due to a wide foot. I intially ordered these one size larger (11 US, 45 Euro) to accomodate for width. They came in far too large so I shipped them back and swapped them for 10's or 44 Euro. They now fit perfectly in both length and width with a touch of breathing room. If you have a wider foot, order your measured size. A 10.5 would also fit into the 10/44 with no problem.

Comments: If you like the performance benefits of Sidi or Alpinestars but can't find a pair that fits comfortably and precisely than I would highly suggest trying out the TCX. I gave them 5 stars because... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: Great fit/finish. Great quality. Comfortable to walk around in for short periods like when riding to the grocery store and walking around the store there.

Cons: Not much really. I wish the toe sliders were black, not gray.

Sizing Info: Fits true to size

Additional Sizing Notes: I wear a 10.5 gym shoe/work boot. I have a wider than normal foot. The 11 fits perfect! Little bit of extra room in the heel.

Comments: The only other kneedraggers review on this boot said something about noise. I don't hear any noises. I was torn between this boot and the Sidi B2's. These just looked better in my opinion,more... (Read the rest of this review)
