Average Customer Rating:4.5 out of 5 (based on 15 ratings)
Introducing an entirely new concept in off-road footwear. The 50/50 boot was designed and developed to provide just the right amount of coverage for situations that don't demand the extensive coverage of a standard boot. Whether you're into riding pit bikes, ATV's, dual-sport, or just light play riding, the 50/50 is the boot you've been dreaming about. This hybrid boot is the perfect blend of athletic shoe comfort and fit, and the rugged durability and coverage of an MX boot.
Every detail has been refined to deliver the lightest, most comfortable, yet durable boot on the market. Weighing in at just 27 ounces the 50/50 boot is less than half the weight of standard boots yet tough as nails. And the comfort level is amazing. This boot is so comfortable, it may never see the inside of a gear bag!
FEATURES:
Light weight injection molded outsole with aggressive lug pattern
Reinforced medial area with padding for comfort against the frame
Contoured gaitor for increased mobility and comfort
Pros: Cheap boots, latch system, multi-use, comfy to walk in.
Cons: 'Cheap Boots'- The sole is decent enough and would probably work well in the mud for motocross. For a streetboot, the overall sole and toe cap doesn't fit well under the shifter of my sportbike.
Latch System is tough to get around your feet.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Overall the boot size is what you would expect. Pretty much on par with most other types of general boots.
I ended up returning these boots after a test fit and sitting on the bike outside. I never go riding in new gear until I feel I have the proper fit and feel of it. I don't want to get distracted on the road.
The boots fit well enough to walk around in. The white is a very bright sneaker white and you can wear them under jeans and it not be noticeable at all.
However sitting on the bike, and a small test ride around the parking lot, I could not get the shifter feel right. The soles are pretty thick and you wont get the same feel as a race boot will give.
Overall you get what you pay for in this boot I suppose. I went with a more streetbike oriented boot, the Streetburner, and have yet to test fit them on the bike, but they are a much nicer boot overall.
I give the 50/50's a 2.5 for streetbike usage which is what I wanted. If it were more for motox I'd probably say 3 - 3.5. Could use a lot of improvements, but its a $100 boot so don't expect much.

Pros: They look great!
Can use them for work.
Nice Fit
Very well made and look rock solid.
A nice once inch sole, give you that extra height to reach the bike seat (for us shorties)
Cons: Takes a while to figure out where you should set the adjuster.
Got to make sure the snap is locked or they'll pop right out.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: These boots fit very nicely, my only complain is that on my left ankle they seem to be some what tight on my side bone, at the lowest setting but my right side is fine. It could be just something wrong with my leg, or need to break them in a little longer (only been a few weeks)

Finally found a pair I wanted to keep.
By Mike from Naperville, USA on 07/07/2008
Pros: I like the buckle feature. It makes it so easy to get them on and off once you have the sizes set to your liking. They fit great and for a rugged boot are not clunky. I had a worry of not being able to fit them under the shifter but I adjusted my shifter and they are great. The boot profile is pretty slim. These aren't just for motocross, I use these for my sportbike and they work well. They kept my feet dry through a 20 mile ride in the rain, so I was happy about that.
Cons: I just wish they breathed a bit more but that might sacrafice keeping your feet clean and dry.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Comments: Definately worth a look if you're in the market for riding boots. They offer more protection than a shoe and aren't too big or bulky. I went through 4 previous pairs trying to find some that I... (Read the rest of this review)

Pros: Very comfortable right from the box. Ski boot clasps work well. Very easy to adjust and fasten, but you do have to do some fitting trials to get them just right.
Cons: So far no problems but they do take about a week or ten days to break in.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Comments: Good boots for thick calf 'ed people and those who don't want a full sized MX boot. Very comfortable and easy to wear on and off the bike. Nice to walk in too.
I use them on my DL650 V-Strom for... (Read the rest of this review)

Great riding boot
By Anonymous from PA, USA on 06/07/2008
Pros: I really like these boots! They take about a week to break in and are now quite comfortable. Walking around in stores is no problem and they look good with my riding jeans. I really like the ski boot type buckles. It makes getting the boots on and off quick and easy. I believe the boot provides good protection all the way around. Overall I am extremely pleased with these boots.
Cons: Not that this is a negative, but you should note that these boots will not fit as snug all over your foot as with traditional laces. However, my feet do not move in the boot when riding. I expected this given the ski boot type buckles. I do not mind and much prefer the quick and easy on and off of the boot.
Sizing Info: Fits true to size
Additional Sizing Notes: Shoes vary. I take anywhere from a size 7 to 8. I ordered the 8 knowing that they would probably be a bit big and I was right. This allows me to where multiple layers of socks in cold weather riding, but the boot can be adjusted snug enough for the warmer weather.
