Valtermoto manufactures 7 types of rearsets and a selection of setback plates. All rearsets set the peg back 28mm and up 24mm, with the exception of the works set—(multi adjustable). T6 7075 aluminum. Spare parts available separately for every model. Parts are interchangeable between models.
New for 2005 is the 0.5 series. Similar in design to the fixed position models with the addition of multiple adjustment locations.
Tipo 1 Fixed Position Rearset
An affordable and durable rearset. Solid pegs and simple design. Sold with all required hardware. Clear anodized finish.
Pros: Very crisp and clean reverse shifting with this rearset. Nice solid feel to the pegs (fixed position) during cornering and wheelies. Pegs don't scrape unless you crash! In the latter, they offer some frame protection since they're strong. Not very expensive compared to many others. You can buy every bit separately if needed.
Cons: Reverse shift rod doesn't go through the hole in the frame, but that could be a good thing.
I was using a modified OEM rearset to do the reverseshift, but it felt spongey and inevitably failed, once on the track at high speed. The Valtermoto has not let me down, although I have tested its durability countless times! I will get another soon
