Greatly improve the performance of your motorcycle with the Lockhart Phillips ‘Power Up" kit. Consisting of a 520 conversion; precut high performance gold Regina Z-ring chain, precut to the perfect length, and the new black hard anodized Vortex sprockets, geared 1 down in front and 2 up in the rear, this kit provides a huge increase in acceleration and overall performance.

  • Lose up to 4 lbs. of unsprung mass.
  • 1 lb of unsprung mass equals a 4 pounds weight loss anywhere else on the motorcycle.
  • Big improvement in acceleration, deceleration
  • Improved braking and handling
  • Great looking gold Regina Z ring chain
  • trick black anodized Vortex sprockets
  • Pre-cut chain for simple installation

Pros: This kit is rock solid and is impressive to look at. It puts the R6's power right where I need it for aggressive street riding. I don't find myself downshifting at the apex of the corner to get the pull of the powerband that I need.

Cons: The Vortex drive sprocket doesn't give instructions on which way to install it. I installed mine with the stamped Vortex logo to the outside of the bike. I believe this is with the large shoulder in torward the trans. The Gold Rigina chain was supposed to be cut to length but in actuallity it was 2 pins longer then it needed to be. Wasn't a problem because I bought chain tools before the install. Also, since Regina recommends not installing the masterlink on any CC over 500cc. You'll also need a way to ping over the rivit pins on the new rivit link.

I don't mind working on my bike and making things right. so the missed information when buying this kit and tweaking to fit wasn't a big deal to me. Though I could seeing it being a pain to other people. The kit puts the power right where you need it most. The bike feels like a completely different monster now.
