Vortex Sprockets 1 down (front)/2 up (rear)

By Collin from Idaho Falls, ID

Pros: big increase in low end performance. saved some money by just replacing the sprockets instead full (520) conversion. Red CAT5 rear sprocket looks good on orange/black GSX-R1000.

Cons: sacrifice some on top speed. don't know if I'll notice it too much. don't have many opportunities to get to 180+ mph. changed drive-ability. a little throttle goes a much longer way now (of course).

changing sprockets is easier than you might think. I found the front to be easier to change than the rear. I'm new to motorcycle mechanics (I've always had a shop work on my bikes) and I did the conversion in about 2 hrs for both sprockets.
