The basic rearset kit consists of the rearset plates, footpegs and all of the needed hardware (shift rods, etc) to install the kit properly. These kits assume that you currently have the OEM rearsets on your bike, and utilize the OEM shift and brake pedals. They are made from tough, aircraft grade 6061 T6 Aluminum. They are much stronger than OEM brackets and will give your bike a look that will separate you from the crowd. Each kit is individually designed for your model of motorcycle to give you the optimum foot position and ground clearance for racing. Most kits are upgradeable at any time to accept the 3 piece billet shift and brake pedals.

Pros: The fit and finish of this item is excellent! The adjusted foot position helps tuck my knees under the ridge-line in the gas tank.

Cons: Install was pretty straight-forward, only a little difficult getting the rear brake springs hooked-up and adjusting the brake-light switch. The left side foot-peg makes you have to reach further back to reach the kick-stand.

I am very happy with this rear-set, and would recommend this for taller 250 riders and track days.

 very nice

By Crash from Fairfax, VA

Pros: really easy to install. I was dragging toes along with my knee through most turns, and I couldn't remedy it. these rearsets not only take you back and up, but IN. the ex250's foot pegs are extremely long- that is, they stick out very far. this shaves a good 1.5" off that. now when i go through turns, I only drag knee (and feel comfortable to go lower). Remember to adjust your shifter and your rear brake pedal properly for the new peg posiiton: get on the bike and ride around while braking and shifting and adjust every 100 feet.

Cons: the directions would be better if it included diagrams, but its not hard at all. the pegs on these are SHARP. if you were wearing shorts or thin pants and rubbed your leg against them with force, you could definitely tear your skin open. but i don't wear shorts or thin pants when i ride anyways.

Comments: you should adjust the rear brake lever position BEFORE you attempt to connect the rear brake light sensor. adjusting the sensor may require bending the bottom of the spring. I "rolled up" the... (Read the rest of this review)
