WORK CLEARANCE Mechanics appreciate both the easy lift effort and ample working clearance behind the stand - workseat clearance is excellent behind the rear wheel!!
SUPER TACKY STAND PADS Our pivots have SUPER TACKY rubber pads that prevent slippage.
XL WHEELS Woodcraft's trademark extra large quad 4" wheels are extremely stable and facillitate both lifting the bike on rough surfaces and rolling the bike around the shop!!
POWERCOAT FINISH Woodcraft stands have one of the toughest, most expensive powder coat finishes available today.
BIG DIAMETER, SMOOTH OPERATING PIVOTS 1" diameter solid steel lift pivots that roll smoothly and won't bend or break like other stands. The inner portion of the stand is teflon lined to keep operation smooth.
FAST, EASY WIDTH ADJUSTMENT With a pair of pliers, the width of the Woodcraft RS102 can be adjusted in seconds!!
Pros: Sturdy but not as heavy as brand PB, very easy adjustments, easily replaced pads.
Cons: Kind of bulky in storage or transport...
I'm using this on a recently acquired Yamaha Thundercat commuter which has a steel swingarm and no capability for spools. It's a fairly heavy bike for a 600, and this stand has plenty leverage and strength to one-person the bike onto the stand with no problems. Once on the stand, moving the bike is no issue - it doesn't slide on the pads as some can. It's sturdy enough to support bike and rider for checking chain tension, and sturdy enough to support the back securely if the front is also on a stand during tire changes.
I've got over 6 years experience with Woodcraft stands in every use from the garage to the pits - and haven't had a problem with any - they are good stuff.
