Xena Disc Locks - XR1

Pros: Sturdy lock, benefit of knowing your bike will be squaking if somethings moving it.. Feels well put together and the packaging and accessories are professional.

Cons: The locks are criticized for being too soft or prone to someone just putting hteir hand over the speaker. The sound could be louder but I think it's sufficient to attract attention, which is all you can really expect.

Pros: Simple, Easy to operate, Detects motion, and adjustable sensitivity. Catches attention.

Cons: Could be louder, though would warn you of a theft attempt outside your hotel door(if your on the same level and you don't sleep super deeply) I thought a 110db would be deafening, but not so.

Pros: Decent size, fits under seat in little pouch nicely. very durable, good theft deterent visibly & with 110 db siren.

Cons: goes through batteries quite quickly. siren can easily be silented by putting a hand or towel over unit. Seems a little pricey since you can get a decent actual alarm close to the same price or a little more.

Pros: - The XR-1 fits the small holes of the rear disc on my 2007 CBR600RR. - Small enough to fit in the confined space of the rear cowel. - It's bright yellow body is a good visual deterant for the lazy thief. - The siren is loud enough to draw attention of passerbys. - The body of the disc lock is quite solid.

Cons: - The alarm can be significantly lower by placing the palm of your hand on the holes of the speaker. - No dust cover for the key hole, I don't know if that will be a problem in the future.

Pros: I like the fact that the lock has the built in alarm. if you are close by it will get your attention if someone moves your bike. you wont forget to remove it before riding away.

Cons: the carrying case is a little small and its hard to put the lock in it when its mounted to the frame under the seat.
